After the compilation ‘ISHUMAR, Music of the Tuareg Resistance’, the Reaktion label continues its collection ‘Le Chant Des Fauves’, concerning itself this time with with the Sahrawi resistance, on the occasion of the release of the digital EP by Aziza Brahim.

A digital 40-page booklet in 3 languages (English, French, Spanish) is freely available.
The digital booklet includes a long text explaining the origins of the Sahrawi resistance, from the 19th century until today, by Jose Alonso, art historian and development worker in the Sahrawi refugee camps. A second text dissects the evolution of the Haul, the traditional Sahrawi musical form, up to today’s music of the revolution.
